Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher – Secondary – Tower Hamlets

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a dedicated secondary SEN school in Tower Hamlets, starting in September. You will deliver differentiated lessons for students with a range of additional needs and help them achieve academic, social and emotional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEN profiles.
• Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents and the wider school team.
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Promote confidence, independence and a love of learning among students.

Required profile

• Experience teaching secondary students with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties or other special educational needs.
• Strong classroom management skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
