Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor

About the role

We are seeking passionate and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) tutors to join our team in Barnet. The role involves delivering personalised tutoring—both in‑person and online—to children with diverse learning needs such as dyslexia, ADHD and autism.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons and resources tailored to each student’s requirements, covering core subjects and life‑skills.
• Deliver engaging tutoring sessions and adapt teaching methods to various learning styles.
• Support pupils in building confidence, managing challenging behaviour and achieving learning goals.
• Monitor progress, produce monthly reports and adjust plans as needed.
• Occasionally incorporate outdoor activities and visual communication tools to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching SEN students (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Compassionate, patient and dedicated to student success.
• Relevant qualifications such as QTS, PGCE or SEN‑specific certifications.
