About the role
The school is an inclusive SEN specialist in Greenwich seeking a qualified Special Educational Needs teacher with EYFS experience to work in a dedicated Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) unit. You will deliver a topic‑based curriculum that blends practical activities with focused development of social communication, attention, and sensory skills.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Support sensory development and behaviour management for pupils with autism.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to create personalised learning packages.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure meaningful access to the curriculum.
- Maintain safeguarding standards and complete enhanced DBS checks.
Required profile
- Strong interest or background in SEND, particularly autism.
- EYFS or primary‑level teaching experience.
- Commitment to inclusive, personalised education.
- Ability to create a structured, nurturing learning environment.
- Team‑player who works well in a collaborative setting.
