Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Epping. You will work closely with students who have special needs, helping them achieve their learning goals in a supportive environment. This full‑time, temporary position starts as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one assistance to students, supporting their individual learning goals.
• Assist in implementing specialised learning plans and educational interventions.
• Create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and report on academic and social‑emotional development.
• Support students during outings, field trips and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and ability to adapt teaching strategies.
• Relevant experience or qualifications in special education (desirable).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
