Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (Norwich)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Norwich. You will work closely with students who have special educational needs, helping them achieve their learning goals in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one assistance to students, ensuring individual learning goals are met.
• Assist with the implementation of specialised learning plans and educational interventions.
• Create and maintain a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor and report on academic and social‑emotional development of pupils.
• Support students during outings, field trips and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy and ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual needs.
• Relevant experience or qualifications in special education (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
