The Special Needs Job Coach will guide and mentor individuals with learning disabilities or other barriers to employment, focusing on meaningful internship placements that build independence and employability. Working in Leeds, you will collaborate with employers and educational institutions to create supportive, skill‑building experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Support individuals in securing and maintaining internship placements.
• Provide tailored coaching and mentoring to enhance participants' skills and confidence.
• Work closely with employers to identify suitable roles and ensure a positive experience for all parties.
• Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to participants on their progress.
• Collaborate with educational staff to align internship experiences with learning goals.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to develop essential workplace skills.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting individuals with barriers to employment.
• Experience working with individuals with special needs.
• Familiarity with the local job market and employer engagement strategies.
• Experience developing training programs or workshops is advantageous.
