About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a reputable Special Needs School in Royston. The role starts immediately and offers the chance to support children and young people aged 5‑19 with complex learning needs.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers to tailor support for individual students.
- Assist pupils during classroom activities, ensuring engagement and understanding.
- Provide one‑to‑one personal care and support for social‑emotional needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and help maintain a positive learning environment.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with students who have special educational needs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to varied student requirements.
- Minimum one year experience in a UK school or care setting.
- Proficiency in English and right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
