Specialised Carer – Dementia Care (Part‑time)

About the role

HammondCare in Cardiff is seeking part‑time specialised carers to provide personalised dementia care within a residential home. You will help create a safe, supportive environment where residents feel at home.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care such as showering, grooming and toileting.
• Provide life‑engagement activities and support residents with varying levels of dementia.
• Recognise, report and respond to changes in residents’ conditions within your competencies.
• Work alongside experienced registered nurses and managers, completing an on‑site orientation and buddy shifts.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a difference.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge or experience caring for people living with dementia.
• Certificates III or IV in Aged Care are viewed favourably.
