Specialist Behavioural Support Worker – Letchworth

About the role

Look Ahead is seeking a compassionate Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join its Learning Disabilities Service in Hertfordshire. The role involves supporting one adult client in their own home, helping them lead a full, active life while developing independence and personal interests.

Key responsibilities

• Encourage the client to try new activities and social opportunities.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping, cleaning and home maintenance.
• Support sensory routines and explore new sensory experiences.
• Facilitate communication of the client’s wishes and needs using person‑centred approaches.
• Promote self‑advocacy, self‑management and empowerment in line with recovery and co‑production principles.

Required profile

• Values‑driven, resilient and compassionate.
• Enjoys social interaction and community involvement.
• Full UK driving licence (required for travel to the client’s home).
• Legally eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.

What we offer

• £10,756.18 per annum for 14.5 hours per week (part‑time).
