Specialist Hygiene Technician – Bristol Region

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Bristol team, serving customers in Plymouth, Exeter and surrounding areas. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. The role involves travelling to various sites to deliver specialised cleaning and hygiene services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bio‑hazard, flood‑damage, infection‑control, and crime‑scene cleaning.
• Clean police and prison cells, remove sharps, and carry out technical cleaning such as factory, high‑level, and silo cleaning.
• Work reactively in a fast‑paced environment, adapting to changing weekly priorities.
• Participate in an on‑call rota (typically twice a quarter) and provide advice to customers when needed.
• Maintain a professional image and deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns and support business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces; DBS check may be required.
