Specialist Hygiene Technician

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon branch, covering South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to commercial and public premises, with full training provided. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal entry‑level opportunity for motivated individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide reactive hygiene cleaning services, including biohazard, flood damage, infection control, and crime‑scene cleaning.
• Work on an on‑call rota and respond to emergency assignments at short notice.
• Offer professional advice to customers and maintain a high standard of service.
• Operate safely at heights, in confined spaces, and use specialised cleaning equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns, including on‑call shifts.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check where required.
