Specialist Mentor – Mental Health Support (Part‑time)

About the role

Randstad Student Support is seeking a Specialist Mentor to provide one‑to‑one mental health and learning support for students at the University of Bedfordshire campuses. This part‑time, flexible position starts in September 2026 and is designed for professionals with recognised mental health mentorship credentials.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students in balancing daily living activities with academic responsibilities.
• Develop organisational and time‑management strategies, breaking assignments into manageable steps.
• Support students in managing stress and anxiety related to study or personal life.
• Facilitate reflective discussions on personal and academic experiences to build confidence.
• Maintain regular communication with Randstad, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Required profile

• Active membership with a recognised professional mental health organisation at the required level.
• Demonstrated empathy and understanding of individuals with disabilities or learning difficulties.
• Reliable, responsible, and professional demeanour.
• Strong personal organisational and time‑management abilities.
