Specialist Optometrist – Clinical Assessment Service

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join a rapidly expanding private clinic’s specialist clinical assessment service. Working across Central London and Surrey sites, you will move beyond traditional retail optometry and become part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team delivering structured visual assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed visual and ocular assessments, including visual acuity, colour vision, and visual field testing.
• Produce accurate clinical records that inform medical decision‑making.
• Follow established clinical protocols and collaborate with medical practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to comprehensive medical evaluations as part of a specialist assessment service.

Required profile

• GOC‑registered Optometrist with at least three years post‑registration experience.
• Strong refraction and visual field assessment abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in occupational health, medico‑legal, regulatory or specialist assessment environments is advantageous but not essential.
