Specialist SEND Tutor – Part‑time (5‑15 hrs/week)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking compassionate and experienced SEND Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for learners across Runcorn. This flexible, part‑time position supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, improve attainment and re‑engage with learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 tuition adapted to each pupil’s learning style and educational goals.
• Create engaging, differentiated lessons that address specific SEND requirements.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to maximise outcomes.
• Collaborate with parents or guardians as needed to support the learner’s development.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting children with SEND.
• QTS or equivalent qualification (desirable).
• Strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches.
• Patient, reliable and adaptable attitude.
• Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references.
