Specialist Study Skills Tutor (ASC)

About the role

Randstad Student Support is seeking a Specialist Study Skills Tutor (ASC) to work one‑to‑one with autistic students at the University of Gloucestershire. You will provide tailored learning support, helping students become independent learners while meeting the requirements of the Disabled Students Allowance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individual learning plans aligned with each student’s needs.
• Support students in building independence, organisational and time‑management strategies.
• Create action plans to keep studies on track and enhance research, referencing and comprehension skills.
• Maintain confidentiality, address concerns promptly, and share relevant information with Randstad.

Required profile

• Minimum undergraduate degree (Level 6).
• Qualified teacher status (QTS, PGCE or QTLS).
• Extensive training in adult autism – either 6 National Autistic Society modules or the Optimum Training Course on Autism and ADHD in Higher Education.
• Experience working with autistic clients is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
