About the role
Randstad Student Support is seeking a Specialist Study Skills Tutor to work one‑to‑one with autistic students at University College London. The role involves delivering personalised learning support, helping students develop independence and effective study strategies while adhering to the Disabled Students Allowance framework.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement individual learning plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Coach students on organisation, time‑management, research, referencing and comprehension skills.
- Monitor progress and adjust strategies to ensure academic success.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional standards, reporting concerns to Randstad promptly.
- Collaborate with university staff to align support with curriculum requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum undergraduate degree (Level 6) or higher.
- Qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or QTLS.
- Extensive training in adult autism – e.g., 6 National Autistic Society modules or the Optimum Training Course on Autism and ADHD in Higher Education.
- Eligibility to work under the Disabled Students Allowance framework.
