Specialist Support Coach

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist Support Coach to work with learners who have additional needs, helping them build confidence, independence and academic progress. You will join a supportive, inclusive team dedicated to breaking down barriers and empowering students to achieve their potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1, small‑group and in‑class interventions for learners with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.
• Manage a caseload, supporting attendance, study skills, English and Maths, and overall engagement.
• Contribute to EHCP outcomes and promote positive learner progression.
• Adapt support strategies to individual learning requirements and work closely with teaching staff.
• Foster an inclusive, safe and encouraging learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience supporting individuals with additional needs in education, care, youth work or SEN support.
• Willingness to hold or work towards a relevant Level 3 qualification.
• Patient, empathetic, student‑centred approach with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

• Salary £23,247 rising to £23,734 per year (full‑time equivalent £25,304‑£25,835).
