Specialist Support Trainer – Positive Behaviour Support

About the role

Lifeways Group is seeking a Specialist Support Trainer to deliver high‑quality learning for staff across the West Midlands. You will design and facilitate training that equips new and existing employees with the knowledge and skills required to provide safe, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Motivate and inspire learners to develop their knowledge and skills.
• Plan and deliver inclusive learning activities for diverse groups.
• Promote a range of learning approaches that meet organisational needs.
• Demonstrate understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and least‑restrictive practices.
• Support learners with specific needs and remove barriers to learning.
• Encourage learners to take responsibility for their own development and set challenging goals.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to learners and operational managers.

Required profile

• Minimum two years continuous experience in support or care roles within health, social care or education.
• Awareness of theoretical concepts, approaches and strategies of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
• Experience delivering training, coaching, facilitating or teaching in a social‑care or educational setting.
• Positive, resilient and dynamic attitude with strong communication skills.
