Specialist Teaching Assistant – Flexible Supply Roles

About the role

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to join our specialist service supporting secondary‑aged pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role offers flexible supply opportunities, ranging from short‑term emergency cover to longer placements, all focused on delivering outcomes set out in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, SpLD, SLCN, SPD and executive functioning challenges.
• Work closely with pastoral teams, inclusion leads and multi‑agency professionals to implement personalised interventions.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of annual reviews, provision mapping and EHCP outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and adapt support strategies as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to work flexibly across full‑time, part‑time, short‑term or long‑term assignments.
