Specialist Tutor – Flexible Hours in Bridgwater

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic Specialist Tutors to deliver personalised 1:1 or small‑group sessions for learners in Bridgwater and surrounding areas. You will support students across core subjects, SEN provision, catch‑up work and exam preparation, helping them achieve their academic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
• Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEN).
• Assist students with exam revision and catch‑up learning.
• Offer alternative provision for learners not currently in mainstream education.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching/tutoring experience.
• Proven experience working with children who have additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Access to transport or ability to travel within the Taunton area.
