Speciality Doctor – Neurodevelopmental Team (0.8 WTE)

About the role

We are seeking a 0.8 WTE Speciality Doctor to join the Neurodevelopmental Team within Ealing CAMHS, part of West London NHS Trust. The role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment delivering specialist mental health care to children, young people and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality psychiatric assessments and interventions for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, therapists and social workers to develop and implement holistic care plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case reviews and service‑development initiatives.
• Contribute to reflective practice, clinical audit and continuous improvement of the service.
• Advocate for the needs of service users and support staff wellbeing and professional development.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor with a licence to practise in the UK.
• Experience in child and adolescent mental health, preferably within a neurodevelopmental or CAMHS setting.
• Enthusiastic, innovative and able to work creatively within a diverse, culturally varied population.
• Commitment to reflective practice, staff wellbeing and ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and formulation in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Multidisciplinary teamwork and communication.
• Ability to develop and implement care pathways.
