Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6/7) – Kingston

About the role

Join a specialist SEN school in the Kingston area as a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6/7). You will work directly with pupils who have speech, language and communication needs, delivering both individual and group therapy programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties.
• Design and deliver tailored therapy programmes for individuals and groups.
• Support pupils with autism spectrum conditions, social‑emotional and mental health needs, and complex learning profiles.
• Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets and reviews.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide practical strategies to embed communication support across the school environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN in educational or clinical settings.
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
