Speech and Language Therapist – Band 7 (Term‑time only)

About the role

The specialist school in Uxbridge is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7 equivalent) to join its on‑site therapy team on a term‑time only basis. You will work with children and young people aged 2‑19 who have complex physical, health, learning and communication needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality speech and language therapy through individual, group and classroom‑based interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and produce professional reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with education and therapy professionals to plan and implement intervention strategies.
• Contribute to staff training and development on communication support.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with current HCPC registration.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Post‑registration training in Makaton and AAC.
• Experience with dysphagia assessment.
• Proven experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
