Speech and Language Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Harrow, supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs. You will work within educational settings, collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs and families to deliver high‑quality, inclusive support.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and provide interventions for learners with SLCN, including autism, developmental language disorder and speech sound difficulties.
• Develop and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and produce detailed assessment reports.
• Work alongside teachers, educational psychologists and parents to embed communication strategies into the classroom.
• Deliver training, advice and resources to school staff to promote a communication‑friendly environment.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience supporting teenagers or young adults in a healthcare or educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
