Speech and Language Therapist – SEND Specialist School

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our specialist SEND school across three sites in Brent. You will design and deliver engaging therapy programmes for pupils aged 3‑19, working closely with teachers, families and external professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, resource and prepare effective therapy programmes for individual pupils and groups.
• Deliver one‑to‑one, small‑group and whole‑class therapeutic sessions.
• Provide in‑the‑moment therapeutic support as required.
• Liaise with colleagues, external professionals and families to coordinate care.
• Plan and deliver whole‑staff therapeutic training.
• Support the overall operation of the school as directed by senior leadership.

Required profile

• HCPC‑registered Speech and Language Therapist.
• Outstanding knowledge of speech and language therapy and related therapies.
• Understanding of mental health, trauma, ACEs and their impact on child development.
• Familiarity with child development, learning and SEND policies.
