Speech & Language Therapist – Band 6/7 (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech & Language Therapist (Band 6/7) to join our vibrant community‑based college centres in Kingston. You will work with students who have learning disabilities, profound and multiple learning needs, and communication challenges, delivering person‑centred therapy that promotes independence and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services at both universal and individual levels, using formal and informal assessments.
• Assess communication, eating & drinking, and learning environment needs, including the use of AAC.
• Collaborate with external agencies to ensure smooth transitions for students.
• Support teaching staff by contributing to support plans, delivering training, and conducting coaching sessions.
• Maintain the highest standards of respect, dignity, and human rights for students and families.

Required profile

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• Registered with the UK HCPC.
• Commitment to person‑centred, neurodiverse‑affirming practice.

Required skills

• AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) proficiency.
