Speech & Language Therapist – Band 6/7 (Uxbridge)

About the role

This full‑time position is based in Uxbridge, supporting vibrant community‑based college centres across London and Surrey. You will provide Speech and Language Therapy services to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioural challenges, and specific medical needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred Speech and Language Therapy at both universal and individual levels, as clinically required.
• Promote choice, independence and inclusion in line with the Valuing People principles and the Human Rights Act.
• Maintain the highest respect for students and families, modelling neuro‑diverse affirming and collaborative practice.
• Work with external agencies such as schools, work placements and social services to ensure smooth transitions of communication, eating and drinking support.

Required profile

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Required skills

• Speech and Language Therapy expertise.
• HCPC registration.
