Sport Operations Co-ordinator

About the role

The University of the West of Scotland is seeking a Sport Operations Co-ordinator to manage the delivery of sports facilities, activities and services on its Ayr campus. Working closely with the Sport Operations Manager, you will help ensure a high‑quality, safe and efficient experience for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of sports venues, equipment and programmes.
• Support effective communication between users, staff and management.
• Implement university policies, procedures and operational standards locally.
• Identify and develop opportunities for service improvement.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and ensure activities are delivered safely.
• Contribute to the overall student experience by enhancing sport and physical activity provision.

Required profile

• HND qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in sport or physical‑activity operations.
• Customer‑facing experience with a strong service orientation.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Background in sports development is desirable.
