Sports Lecturer – Flexible Full‑Time or Part‑Time

About the role

Reed FE is seeking a Sports Lecturer to join its network of colleges, prisons and training providers across South‑East England. You will deliver high‑quality sports education to learners aged 16‑19 and apprentices, either on a full‑time, part‑time or temporary basis.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess sports curriculum for FE learners.
• Manage classroom behaviour and support learners with diverse needs.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with DBS and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with fellow lecturers and assessors to ensure consistent standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practice and student outcomes.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education).
• Assessor qualification (e.g., A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA) – or willingness to obtain.
• Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Sports.
• Experience working with 16‑19‑year‑olds in an education or apprenticeship setting.
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
