SQL Server DBA & Data Engineer (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing data‑driven software company, is expanding its UK team and needs a skilled SQL Server DBA/Data Engineer. You will split your time equally between database administration and development, helping to build and optimise high‑performance data platforms for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform SQL Server backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain T‑SQL stored procedures and database objects.
• Design, implement and optimise data warehousing solutions.
• Collaborate on PostgreSQL workloads and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve mission‑critical data pipelines.

Required profile

• Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK.
• Proven experience with SQL Server administration and development.
• Hands‑on knowledge of PostgreSQL and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).
