SSAS Pension Administrator – Wealth Management

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented SSAS Pension Administrator to join a well‑established wealth management team in North London. You will manage the day‑to‑day administration of Small Self‑Administered Schemes (SSAS) while working closely with clients, advisers and third‑party providers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer a portfolio of SSAS pension schemes, including new applications, transfers and takeovers.
• Liaise with clients, advisers, solicitors, accountants and third‑party providers to ensure a smooth client experience.
• Maintain accurate scheme records and update pension administration systems.
• Process benefit crystallisations, tax‑free cash and income payments.
• Manage SSAS bank accounts, payment instructions and invoicing.
• Assist with property purchases, transfers and commercial property transactions held within SSAS arrangements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to efficient administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in SSAS or pension administration (essential).
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet regulatory deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Xplan (desired).
