Stables Supervisor – Permanent

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Stables Supervisor to lead our stable yard in Longcross. You will be responsible for the overall welfare of our horses and the efficient running of daily stable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily stable activities and ensure horse health and welfare.
• Lead and coordinate a team of grooms, assigning duties and monitoring performance.
• Plan and manage horse care schedules, including riding, rest, and treatment rotations.
• Ride and handle a variety of horses, including stallions and challenging animals.
• Monitor stock levels and order feed, bedding, and other supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of horse care, treatments, and activities.
• Liaise with the manager for veterinary care and paddock management.
• Ensure the facility is clean, organised, and safe.
• Address staff performance issues and escalate any welfare concerns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in horse care and stable management.
• Supervisory or team‑lead experience (preferred).
• Ability to ride to a high standard.
• Relevant equine qualification.
• Experience working with children.
• Clean driving licence.
