Staff Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and delivery of large‑scale ML systems at Appcast Enterprise. As the top individual‑contributor tier, you will shape architecture, set engineering standards and turn cutting‑edge research into production‑grade products that drive business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the architecture of enterprise‑wide, production‑grade machine‑learning platforms.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex ML solutions, from problem definition and algorithm design to deployment, operationalisation and product release.
• Develop, validate and ship novel ML algorithms and scientific models as reliable, maintainable services.
• Bridge research and production by translating experimental prototypes into scalable, observable, and robust solutions.
• Define and enforce MLOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, monitoring and reliability standards.
• Establish technical standards, patterns and protocols for ML engineering across multiple teams.
• Lead multi‑team initiatives and mentor senior engineers to raise overall ML capability.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale ML systems in a production environment.
• Deep applied machine‑learning expertise with a track record of turning research into deployable products.
• Strong architectural sense and ability to set technical direction across organisations.
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and mentor engineering teams.
