Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

About the role

Analog Devices is hiring a Staff Mixed-Signal Design Engineer in its Advanced Cores Group (ACG) in Newbury. The engineer provides technical leadership in designing and developing mixed-signal integrated circuits, including power management ICs, ADCs, DACs, PLLs and other mixed-signal blocks, and makes critical architectural decisions. The role involves mentoring junior engineers and working with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop ADC, DAC and/or SerDes PHY subsystems for mixed-signal SoCs using FinFET wafer technologies.
• Evaluate alternative mixed-signal subsystem implementation architectures.
• Design challenging transistor-level mixed-signal integrated circuits.
• Prepare design documents and run design reviews.
• Guide mixed-signal IC layout, evaluation and testing.

Required profile

• MS in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of mixed-signal IC development experience.
• Successful experience developing mixed-signal ICs for commercial applications.
• Strong technical leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Data converter architectures and specifications, or SerDes PHY architectures and specifications.
• Mixed-signal design fundamentals, tools and methodologies.
• Integrated circuit product development, including design, verification, evaluation, test and qualification.
