Staff Nurse – Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) Central

About the role

The NHS Borders is recruiting a Staff Nurse to join the new Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) Central team. This fixed‑term position offers 30 hours per week, running until 31 March 2027, and involves delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care across the CTAC Central area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective, compassionate nursing care to patients in the community.
• Work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment, managing a varied caseload.
• Travel between sites in Galashiels, Stow, Lauder, Earlston and Melrose using a personal vehicle.
• Utilise NHS IT systems for documentation and communication.
• Adhere to family‑friendly scheduling, Monday‑Friday.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid UK nursing registration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for travel).
• Experience is desirable but not mandatory; full training will be provided.
• Competence in using IT systems for patient records.
