Staff Nurse – Community Treatment and Care (West)

About the role

The Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) team in the West region is seeking a motivated Staff Nurse to join our Band 5 team in the Peebles area. This part‑time, 12‑hour fixed‑term position runs until 31 March 2027 and offers family‑friendly hours across Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients in the community.
• Work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Travel between Peebles, Innerleithen and West Linton to provide home‑based care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using NHS IT systems.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered) with a genuine passion for community care.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between sites.
• Willingness to undergo full training if experience is limited.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using NHS IT and electronic patient record systems.
