About the role

The Ward 1 department at Belford Hospital is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join a 12‑bed mixed‑speciality unit delivering rehabilitation, long‑term condition management and palliative care. The role involves close collaboration with community teams to facilitate complex discharges and maintain high standards of patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across rehabilitation, chronic disease management and palliative pathways.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary and community colleagues to arrange safe and effective discharges.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical practice within the ward.
• Support the professional development of the nursing team.

Required profile

• Post‑registration nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Enthusiastic, innovative approach to teamwork.
• Highly developed assessment abilities.
• Commitment to continuous personal and clinical development.
