Staff Product Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Product Designer to shape key experiences in our car marketplace. You will own complex, high-impact problem spaces from discovery through to shipped, measured outcomes, working closely with product and engineering leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for major marketplace problem spaces, from discovery to launch and iteration.
• Prototype rapidly using AI design tools such as Claude Design, delivering testable experiences early.
• Collaborate shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, leveraging AI-assisted workflows and, when beneficial, writing code to accelerate delivery.
• Set design direction, identify opportunities, build evidence-based cases and align product and engineering partners.
• Raise the craft bar through critique, mentorship and by exemplifying high-quality work.
• Champion AI-native ways of working, sharing prompts, workflows and upskilling the wider team.

Required profile

• 7+ years of product design experience leading complex, high-impact work in consumer or marketplace products.
• Demonstrated AI fluency with hands-on experience using Claude Design or equivalent AI design/prototyping tools.
• Strong end-to-end craft, able to turn fuzzy problems into production-ready designs.
• Comfort with ambiguity, fast decision-making and rapid iteration.
• Excellent communication and influence with senior stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring designers and elevating team standards.
