Staff Writer and Editorial Lead

About the role

ScaleMath is hiring a Staff Writer and Editorial Lead to work directly with the founder, driving high‑leverage initiatives across the business. This role blends content creation with partnerships, sales support, client interaction, and internal projects, requiring high‑judgment ownership of end‑to‑end outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Write and edit high‑quality content, including founder‑led pieces.
• Improve messaging, positioning, and narrative clarity across the business.
• Review and polish important documents, emails, and customer‑facing assets.
• Support partnerships through outreach, coordination, follow‑ups, and deal flow.
• Join client and partner calls where strong communication matters.
• Assist sales efforts with copy, decks, follow‑ups, and related materials.
• Own internal initiatives end‑to‑end, from research through execution and delivery.
• Act as a force multiplier for the founder and the broader team.

Required profile

• Strategic and hands‑on, able to set direction and execute with accountability.
• Exceptional attention to detail, catching issues others miss.
• Elite written communicator with clear, confident, well‑structured prose.
• High‑level copywriter and “sentence designer” skilled in clarity, rhythm, persuasion, and restraint.
• Quality‑bar setter who elevates standards for content and messaging.
• Strong editorial judgment on what to cut, keep, emphasize, or clarify.
• Execution‑first mindset, reliably shipping finished work.
• Brand‑voice steward maintaining consistent tone, positioning, and messaging.
• Trusted internal reviewer who improves others’ work through thoughtful critique and refinement.
