STE05 Building Surveyor – Rail Consultancy

About the role
We are seeking a qualified Building Surveyor with full STE05 competence to join a rail consultancy on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for inspecting operational railway property such as station buildings, depots and lineside structures across the South East region.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out detailed inspections of stations, depots and lineside buildings.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports in line with industry standards.
- Coordinate site access and ensure all safety and logistical arrangements are in place.
- Report findings to the Delivery Manager and support project delivery.
- Utilise Citadel software for data capture and report generation.
Required profile
- Degree‑level qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- Full STE05 competency.
- Strong understanding of building materials and common defects.
- Highly computer literate with experience in report writing.
- Valid UK driving licence and own vehicle.
Required skills
- Citadel software proficiency.
