About the role
This is a full‑time, term‑time only STEM Graduate Teacher position starting September 2026 in a secondary school in Bushey, Hertfordshire. You will be employed directly by the school and work across the STEM department supporting KS3‑4 lessons while focusing on raising attainment.
Key responsibilities
- Teach across KS3‑4 STEM subjects with an initial load of around 15 periods per week, increasing to about 20.
- Deliver GCSE and A‑Level interventions to improve student outcomes.
- Participate in one dedicated training day per week as part of the Schools Direct programme.
- Collaborate with the STEM department to support curriculum delivery and student progress.
Required profile
- Desirable degree in a STEM subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) from a reputable university.
- Strong A‑Level and GCSE results.
- Confidence in delivering both GCSE and A‑Level curricula.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Commitment and ambition to succeed in a teaching career.
