Stock Condition Surveyor – 3‑Month Contract

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established social housing provider to find an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor for a three‑month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on assessing the condition and remaining life of key housing components and capturing accurate asset and energy‑efficiency data.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake stock condition surveys across residential properties.
• Assess the age, condition and remaining lifespan of key components such as kitchens, roofs, windows, doors and other main building elements.
• Record component data to support lifecycle planning and future investment programmes.
• Collect energy efficiency data, including loft insulation levels and window/door specifications.
• Ensure all survey data is accurate, consistent and uploaded to the relevant asset management system.
• Identify any immediate maintenance or compliance concerns during inspections.
• Support the wider asset management team with data validation and reporting where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Stock Condition Surveyor within social housing or a similar environment.
• Strong understanding of building components and lifecycle assessment.
• Experience collecting and reporting on asset and energy‑efficiency data.
• Familiarity with asset management systems and mobile data capture tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate survey records.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
