Stock Condition Surveyor – Residential Asset Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor to join a busy Asset Management team responsible for a large residential property portfolio. The role combines on‑site inspections, technical reporting and asset data management to support maintenance, investment programmes and compliance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out detailed stock condition surveys across a varied residential property portfolio, capturing accurate asset information.
• Produce technical reports, schedules of work and specifications to support planned maintenance and investment programmes.
• Complete EPC assessments and maintain records within the organisation’s asset management systems.
• Undertake HHSRS inspections, investigate disrepair cases and prepare related technical reports.
• Diagnose building defects and provide specialist advice on construction, maintenance and remedial solutions.
• Support quality assurance of survey data, ensuring consistency, compliance and suitability for future asset planning.
• Provide guidance and day‑to‑day support to colleagues within the surveying team.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure works comply with health & safety legislation and CDM requirements.
• Collaborate with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver a professional, customer‑focused surveying service.

Required profile

• Construction‑related degree or equivalent, or extensive surveying experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
