Stock Controller / Warehouse Operative (Late Shift)

About the role

Our client is a growing, forward‑thinking business seeking an experienced Stock Controller/Warehouse Operative to join the busy late‑shift team in Aylesbury. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring smooth inbound and outbound processes during the 2 pm‑10 pm shift.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate stock levels across all warehouse zones.
• Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Process goods in and goods out, updating documentation and systems.
• Pick, pack and dispatch orders while meeting quality standards.
• Perform quality control checks on outbound products and returns.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
• Assist with refurbishment, sorting and reallocation of old or returned stock.
• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in improving stock control procedures.
• Record discrepancies and report variances to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in stock control, inventory management or warehouse operations.
• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks safely.
• Reliable, proactive and a positive team player.
• Problem‑solver who enjoys practical, hands‑on work.
• Commutable from Thame, Oxford, Long Crendon, Haddenham, Wallingford, High Wycombe, Slough or Milton Keynes.

Required skills

• Competence with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or stock‑tracking software.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £26,500‑£29,000 per annum.
• Full‑time permanent role on a late‑shift schedule (Mon‑Fri, 2 pm‑10 pm).
