Stock Planner

About the role

Our client, a leading supplier of home textiles to major UK retailers, is seeking an experienced Stock Planner to join their commercial team. Working in a hybrid model from Oldham, you will be responsible for managing stock levels, forecasting demand and ensuring product availability across multiple retail customers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse weekly, monthly and annual sales data to identify trends and forecast future demand.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Sales Administration and other functions to meet customer forecasts and requirements.
• Allocate stock across customers to maximise availability while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
• Maintain and update forecasts in JDE and plan initial purchase quantities for new product launches.
• Produce month‑end sales and stock reports, weekly delivery schedules and out‑of‑stock analyses, recommending corrective actions.

Required profile

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Independent decision‑maker with confident communication skills.
• Experience in stock planning, merchandising, supply chain, inventory control or commercial analysis is advantageous.
