Stonemason / Restorer

About the role

Styles Façade Solutions specialises in cleaning, restoration and new stonework for high‑end residential and commercial properties in London. The Stonemason / Restorer will interpret blueprints, cut and shape stone, and carry out fixing, repairing and pointing tasks to deliver exceptional restoration results.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural blueprints and construction plans.
• Determine required materials and equipment for each project.
• Mix grout and cement, and prepare lime mortar as needed.
• Cut, shape, smooth and polish natural stone and concrete to specified dimensions.
• Lay, fix, repair and point stone according to project specifications.
• Replace defective or missing stones on walls and structures.
• Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team of stonemasons to maintain high standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in stone masonry.
• Current, valid CSCS card.
• NVQ or equivalent qualification in stone masonry.
• Proven experience with historic building restoration.
• Physically strong and able to handle heavy objects and work outdoors for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer focus.

• Operating truck‑mount platforms (category 3a and self‑propelled booms category 3b)
• IPAF certification (preferred)
• Experience with Portland stone (preferred)
