Store Despatch Operative – Forklift Licensed

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Store Despatch Operative to join a leading UK designer and manufacturer of temporary, heavy‑duty electrical distribution and lighting equipment. The role involves picking, packing and dispatching orders efficiently while maintaining health and safety standards. You will work on‑site at our Harlow warehouse, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am‑4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack and prepare goods for forward shipment, ensuring accuracy.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
• Operate a forklift truck in line with health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of received and dispatched stock.
• Store items securely, label stock correctly and support stock‑taking activities.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as required.

Required profile

• Valid Forklift Licence.
• Previous experience in a similar despatch or warehouse role.
• Good IT knowledge and experience of warehouse management systems.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

What we offer

• £15‑£16 per hour, with overtime at time‑and‑a‑half when available.
