Store Manager – High‑Volume Retail – Hertfordshire

About the role

This senior, hands‑on position leads a high‑performing retail store in the Hertfordshire area for one of the UK’s leading retail organisations. You will own the full‑store performance, drive commercial results and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for store sales, productivity and profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop the management team and wider store staff.
• Analyse KPIs and use data‑driven insights to improve performance.
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, stock control and customer service.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven management experience in fast‑paced retail (grocery, discount, convenience, high‑volume) or hospitality (restaurants, pubs, hotels, quick‑service, leisure).
• People‑focused with a genuine passion for developing colleagues.
• Commercially astute and comfortable working with performance data and KPIs.
• Calm, resilient under pressure and proactive in leadership style.
