Store Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Store Manager to lead our client’s high‑street store in Didcot. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, commercial performance and overall customer experience, working in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing retail team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Drive sales performance and achieve store targets.
• Manage stock levels, availability and replenishment processes.
• Ensure excellent visual merchandising standards throughout the store.
• Monitor KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Recruit, train and develop colleagues to reach their full potential.
• Manage rotas, labour costs and workforce planning effectively.
• Maintain store compliance, health & safety, and company procedures.
• Build a positive and engaging culture focused on teamwork and success.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Store Manager, Retail Manager, Branch Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Proven ability to drive sales and achieve commercial targets.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Hands‑on management style with a strong work ethic.
