About the role
As a Store Manager at Lush in Bournemouth you will lead the shop to deliver exceptional customer experiences, build a passionate team and strengthen community connections. You will own the store’s performance, from sales growth to visual merchandising, while upholding Lush’s ethical values.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, creating a welcoming shop floor.
- Drive sales growth by analysing business metrics, setting targets and organising events, parties and outreach initiatives.
- Ensure the shop is well‑stocked, visually appealing and that product displays reflect current trends and seasonal changes.
- Manage financials, controlling staffing, operational costs and stock levels to maintain healthy retail margins.
- Recruit, train and develop a diverse team, ensuring they meet sales and service goals.
- Plan and execute in‑store and external events in collaboration with the PR team to boost visibility.
- Monitor sales trends and local customer needs, adjusting opening hours and staffing to maximise opportunities.
- Uphold Lush guidelines, health and safety standards and create internal processes tailored to the store.
Required profile
- Passion for delivering 5‑star customer service and creating memorable experiences.
- Strong management skills, able to navigate difficult conversations, set expectations and maintain team morale.
- Proven teamwork ability, leading by example on the shop floor and supporting the achievement of top‑box goals.
- Excellent verbal communication to convey business messages and collaborate with neighbouring stores and retailers.
